Eric T. Lee M.D., M.A.

Dr. Eric Lee MD, MA graduated from Yale University and completed his medical school training at Boston University earning both his MD and MA. He then went on to complete his residency in New York University Langone Medical Center at the prestigious Rusk Institute, and his pain medicine fellowship at New York University. 

Dr. Lee is Double Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He has experience with parents who have numerous sports injuries, and as a former athlete, he understands the importance of returning his patients to maximum functional capacity. He has been consulted at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. Dr. Lee has presented at many conferences both nationally and internationally, on wide variety of pain medicine topics, and written numerous chapters and publications.

He is continually involved in cutting edge research, clinical trials and new techniques to optimize the safe use of these therapies. He has special interest in advanced interventional techniques and minimally invasive spinal procedures. He has helped advance the field in neuromodulation, radiofrequency ablation, and regenerative therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP).

He is current President of Pacific Spine and Pain Society. Dr. Lee has been voted to America's Top Doctors - Pain Management. He is also Director-at-Large American Society of Pain and Neurosciences. He is a leader in education and serves as course faculty for North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), and sits on the Education Committee. He is on the International Neuromodulation Society Education Committee and is co-author and director of the International Neuromodulation Society Education Curriculum.

Emily Brewer DNP, APRN-Rx, FNP-C

After completing her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University, Emily moved to Hawaii in 2007. Emily then went on a medical relief mission in Haiti that transformed her life and made her want to be able to help even more people, which she felt she could do best as a Nurse Practitioner. Always hard working and dedicated, Emily graduated Hawaii Pacific University’s Nurse Practitioner program and The University of Hawaii’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program as the Class Valedictorian of each. As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is passionate about the holistic care of her patients. Emily’s interest in physical medicine began at an early age and continued through her college years running track and playing volleyball for Texas Tech University. Emily enjoys educating her patients on the role of exercise and weight management in preventative health care. 

Emily also has a strong interest in women’s health and wellness. She is an adjunct faculty for Hawai'i Pacific University and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. 

Emily enjoys food, travel, and exercise, especially if it is in the Hawaiian sun.

Alexandra Boger, DPT

Alexandra (Allie) hales from North Carolina. She received her Degree in Psychology and Natural Science at Appalachian State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Wingate University in North Carolina. She previously worked at Kaloko Pain Center while on a travel contract and fell in love with Hawaii. After a years of traveling as a Physical Therapist, she decided to return to our team permanently! 

She has a passion to getting people back to doing all things they love while feeling stronger, with less pain and limitations. Allie has worked in a variety of settings in North Carolina, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. She has experience treating a variety of neurological conditions including stroke, TBI, MS, Parkinson’s Disease, Vestibular (vertigo) as well as vast experience with chronic pain, orthopedic conditions (acute/chronic, pre/post surgery), spine, sports and many others. She believes in a combination of treatments to achieve the best outcomes. Her treatment focuses on functional movement, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular control training, and yoga-like recovery. 

Her passion for movement and the body is evident inside and out. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, training, reading and cooking. She will soon hold the title of the greatest bike polo player Kona has ever seen!

Kaidden Kelly, DMSc, PA-C, CAQ-PSY

Kaidden Kelly, PA-C is a Hilo native and graduate of Kamehameha Schools. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Health Studies at Portland State University, he worked in family medicine and sleep medicine on the Big Island as a medical assistant and registered polysomnographic technologist. After recognizing the dire need for culturally-competent healthcare professionals in Hawaii, he went on to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. As a Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship recipient, he is committed to serving his Native Hawaiian community here in the islands and began his career in psychiatry and family medicine prior to joining Kaloko Pain Center in 2019. While working in psychiatry, he obtained his Certificate of Added Qualification in Psychiatry and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for patients who suffer from chronic pain alongside comorbid psychiatric disorders not limited to depression and anxiety. Shortly thereafter, he earned his Doctor of Medical Science Degree from the University of Lynchburg and completed a fellowship in family medicine. Kaidden is a compassionate provider and believes in a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to reduce physical and emotional pain to restore his patient's ability to function. He currently holds a part-time faculty position at the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest PA Program in Kealakekua and is the chair of the Behavioral Medicine course for didactic students across all campuses. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation. 

In his free time, Kaidden enjoys CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, and spending time with his family, friends, dogs, and cat.

Mikayla Wilson, DPT

Mikayla comes to us from Washington originally. While earning hours towards her Physical Therapy Doctorate, she spent time at a local physical therapy clinic in Waimea, Hawaii here on the Big Island. She then continued onto Regis University in Colorado where she graduated and couldn’t wait to come back to us!  She has gained vast experience from multiple places including Hawaii, Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona. She focusses on working with the whole person and on getting you back to functional activities. Her interests include pediatrics, orthopedics, chronic spine pain, balance training, and more. Mikayla takes a personal and compassionate approach to every patient and tailors their treatment plans to fit specific patient needs.

 

When she isn’t helping patients reach their goals, Mikayla is often biking around the island on a tandem bike with her husband. She enjoys hiking, swimming, creating art, and gardening to name a few of her many hobbies. She is happy to be back and calling the Big Island her permanent home now.

Scott Smith, PA

Scott comes to us with a wide range of medical expertise. After college he became an EMT in 94 the advanced to firefighter then paramedic A career ending injury sent him to PA school and now has decades of experience in emergency and orthopedic medicine. As a former professional athlete with countless injuries he is uniquely qualified and a perfect fit for interventional pain management. His ability to relate to his patients is his greatest gift

Christopher Gallagher, PA

Chris moved to Hawaii 5 years ago from Pennsylvania. He completed his training and education at Arcadia university just outside of Philadelphia.  He believes in a multifaceted approach to pain management with the intention of improving his patient’s quality of life. In his off time, he enjoys hiking and biking, spending time with his family, working on his cars or helping his wife in the garden
